1st Lyceum of Rhodes – Venetokleio

The school offers general education for three classes A, B and C. In classes B and C, the curriculum includes additional lessons corresponding to three fields of study: humanities, science and economics and IT.

In addition to the normal education process, we organize mathematics, science and IT competitions. Students achieve success in mathematics olympiads and achieve high marks in national university entrance exams. We also organize training in mathematics teaching. There are 5 mathematicians working at the high school. The school has 2 ICT laboratories used for teaching mathematics using Geogebra and Sketcher software etc.

Students use these laboratories for extra-curricular activities. The school also runs the “E-klasa” educational platform supporting teaching. All students are registered there. The contact person participating in the project is a mathematics teacher and has been the president of the Hellenic Mathematical Society Division in the Dodecanese region for many years. He was the coordinator of the International and Balkan Mathematical Olympiads (IMO and BMO). He has experience in organizing conferences and is an educator of mathematics teachers in the field of teaching mathematics using ICT.
